Deprecated steps
================

.. warning::

   **Future versions will remove these steps.** They still ship and still work
   today, and each logs a deprecation warning when it runs. Migrate existing
   workflows to the replacements listed below, and do not build new workflows on
   them.

They are documented here so that engineers maintaining existing workflows can
read what they inherited, and so that the migration path for each one is
written down.

QueryGQL to GQLRequest
----------------------

``QueryGQL`` inherits from ``QueryREST`` and carries that step's REST-shaped
assumptions. ``GQLRequest`` inherits from :ref:`step-HTTPBaseStep` directly and
is the supported GraphQL step.

linked here once published. Consumers already migrated as part of that effort:
