Standard Automation Policies
The PagerDuty Incident Integration PowerPack includes three standard automation policies, shown in the following figure. These policies update the PagerDuty incident with the state of the event in SL1. When the event is first detected in SL1, the "triggered" state is sent. When the event is acknowledged in SL1, the "acknowledged" state is sent. When the event is cleared in SL1, the "resolved" state is sent.
The following table shows the automation policy, its aligned events, and the automation action that runs in response to the events.
Automation Policy Name | Aligned Events | Automation Action |
---|---|---|
PagerDuty: Trigger Alert | All events | PagerDuty: Trigger/Acknowledge/Resolve Alert |
PagerDuty: Acknowledge Alert | All events | PagerDuty: Trigger/Acknowledge/Resolve Alert |
PagerDuty: Resolve Alert | All events | PagerDuty: Trigger/Acknowledge/Resolve Alert |
