Getting Started

To ensure that we provide the most innovative and powerful monitoring platform on the market, ScienceLogic focuses the majority of our development effort on the most recent versions of our software. We encourage our customers to adopt more recent versions of our product so that they can benefit from our new innovations, enhancements and fixes. In addition, ScienceLogic routinely announces the end of support for older versions.

SL1 Product Life Cycle Dates

The following table lists the End-of-Maintenance (EOM) and End-of-Life (EOL) dates for the versions made generally available (GA). Our goal is to give you ample time to make the transition and ensure you are able to take full advantage of our newest capabilities.

All previous SL1 software versions not listed above have reached their End of Life date and are no longer supported by ScienceLogic. Customers running SL1 systems older than the current release should contact ScienceLogic Support at https://support.sciencelogic.com/s/ to request the required product update (siloupdate).

Life Cycle Definitions

End of Maintenance (EOM)

This date signifies when a specific product release will have no further code-level maintenance, like patches and hotfixes. After the EOM date, Technical Support will continue as before until the EOL date, but code-level maintenance will be limited to security-related issues deemed critical by ScienceLogic. ScienceLogic reserves the right to change the time frame for a specific version at its sole discretion, based on business needs.

End of Life (EOL)

This date signifies when security-related fixes, technical support, and product downloads will no longer be available. Technical Support will be limited to the information contained on our Customer Portal through Knowledge Base articles and Answers. ScienceLogic reserves the right to change the time frame for a specific version at its sole discretion, based on business needs.
