Alibaba Cloud: Aliyun PowerPack Release Notes, version 100

Version 100 of the Alibaba Cloud: Aliyun PowerPack adds the ability to monitor Aliyun configuration data and performance metrics, and includes multiple new Dynamic Applications.

  • Minimum Required SL1 Version: 8.2.0

Before You Install

Ensure that you are running version 8.2.0 or later of SL1 before installing "Alibaba Cloud: AliyunPowerPack version 100.

Installing the PowerPack

To install this PowerPack:

  1. Search for and download the PowerPack from the PowerPacks page (Product Downloads > PowerPacks & SyncPacks) at the ScienceLogic Support Site.
  2. In SL1, go to the PowerPacks page (System > Manage > PowerPacks).
  3. Click the Actions menu and choose Import PowerPack. The Import PowerPack modal appears.
  4. Click Browse and navigate to the PowerPack file from step 1.
  5. Select the PowerPack file and click Import. The PowerPack Installer modal displays a list of the PowerPack contents.
  6. Click Install. The PowerPack is added to the PowerPack Manager page.

  • A SOAP/XML credential template is included in the PowerPack.
  • Icons were created for each of the Aliyun Region and Zone device classes, as well as the CloudDisk Instance, CloudDisk Service, ECS Instance, and ECS Service device classes.

Known Issues

The following known issues affect version 100 of the Alibaba Cloud: Aliyun PowerPack:

  • The discovery process discovers all available Regions and Zones, even if they do not have resources deployed on them.
  • The Aliyun Zone Discovery Dynamic Application renders the "Zone Name" in hex characters because of an issue displaying multibyte characters.
  • There are occasional gaps in the ECS Instance and CloudDisk performance data.
  • The collected ECS Instance performance data does not match perfectly with the ECS endpoint (AliyunCLI).
  • An HTTP error message can display in the device log and system log for some Dynamic Applications.
