Linux SSH User-Initiated Automations PowerPack Release Notes, version 100

Version 100 of the Linux SSH User-Initiated Automations PowerPack is the initial version of the PowerPack.. This PowerPack adds automation policies that allow a user to manually run automation actions from the Linux SSH Automations PowerPack from the event console.

This PowerPack is intended to supplement the Linux SSH Automations PowerPack.

  • Minimum Required SL1 Version: 10.1.0

Before You Install

Ensure that you are running version 10.1.0 or later of SL1 before installing " Linux SSH User-Initiated AutomationsPowerPack version 100.

For details on upgrading SL1, see the relevant SL1 Platform Release Notes.

Ensure that you have installed the Linux SSH Automations PowerPack before installing the Linux SSH User-Initiated Automation PowerPack.

IMPORTANT: To provide output formatting in HTML or plaintext, you must also install the Datacenter Automation UtilitiesPowerPack.

Installation Process

To install version 100 of the Linux SSH User-Initiated Automations PowerPack, perform the following steps:

  1. See the Before You Install section. If you have not done so already, upgrade your system to the 10.1.0 or later release.
  2. Familiarize yourself with the Known Issues for this release.
  3. Download the Linux SSH User-Initiated Automations version 100 PowerPack to a local computer.
  1. Go to the PowerPack Manager page (System > Manage > PowerPacks). Click the Actions menu and choose Import PowerPack. Import the Linux SSH User-Initiated Automationsversion 100 PowerPack. For details on importing PowerPacks, see the chapter on Installing a PowerPack in the PowerPacks manual.
  2. Click the Install button. For details on installing PowerPacks, see the chapter on Installing a PowerPack in the PowerPacks manual.
  3. See the Run Book Automation manual for instructions on using Action Type contained in the new PowerPack.
