Restorepoint Automation PowerPack, version 102

Version 102 of the "Restorepoint Automation" PowerPack includes support for Restorepoint backups.

This PowerPack works in conjunction with the "Datacenter Advanced Enrichment Actions" PowerPack.

Before You Install or Upgrade

Ensure that you are running version 11.2.0 or later of SL1 before installing "Restorepoint Automation" PowerPack version 102.

You must install version 103 of the "Datacenter Automation Utilities" PowerPack before proceeding. You can access this PowerPack from the PowerPacks page on the ScienceLogic Support Site.

Installation and Upgrade Process

To install this PowerPack:

  1. Search for and download the PowerPack from the PowerPacks page (Product Downloads > PowerPacks & SyncPacks) at the ScienceLogic Support Site.
  2. In SL1, go to the PowerPacks page (System > Manage > PowerPacks).
  3. Click the Actions menu and choose Import PowerPack. The Import PowerPack modal appears.
  4. Click Browse and navigate to the PowerPack file from step 1.
  5. Select the PowerPack file and click Import. The PowerPack Installer modal displays a list of the PowerPack contents.
  6. Click Install. The PowerPack is added to the PowerPack Manager page.

Features Included in This Release

The following features were included in this release:

  • Five Run Book Automation actions
  • Three Run Book Automation policies
  • The "Restorepoint: Generic Action type" action type
  • The "Restorepoint Connectivity" Dynamic Application that validates the type of credentials used by Restorepoint
  • The "Restorepoint Automation" example credential

Issues Addressed

The following issues were addressed in this release:

  • The "Start Restorepoint Backup" and "Revert Restorepoint Backup" auotmation policies that allow User Initiated execution to start and revert backups in Restorepoint were added to the PowerPack.
  • The "Restorepoint: Generic Action type" action type was updated to support Restorepoint backups.

  • The "Restorepoint: Start Backup" and "Restorepoint: Revert Backup" action policies were added to the PowerPack.
