Skylar Compliance Automation PowerPack, version 105

Version 105 of the "Skylar Compliance Automation" PowerPack rebrands the PowerPack from "Restorepoint Automation" to "Skylar Compliance Automation" and resolves an issue with the "Restorepoint: Generic Action type" snippet.

This PowerPack works in conjunction with the "Datacenter Advanced Enrichment Actions" PowerPack.

Before You Install or Upgrade

Ensure that you are running version 12.3.x or later of Skylar One before installing the "Skylar Compliance AutomationPowerPack.

You must install version 103 of the "Datacenter Automation Utilities" PowerPack before proceeding. You can access this PowerPack from the PowerPacks page on the ScienceLogic Support Site.

Installation and Upgrade Process

If you are currently using the Dynamic Applications in this PowerPack to monitor devices, collection errors might occur for one or two polling cycles during the installation of a new version. To prevent collection errors during an upgrade, you can optionally disable collection for monitored devices before performing the following steps and re-enable collection after the upgrade.

To install this PowerPack:

  1. Search for and download the PowerPack from the PowerPacks page at the ScienceLogic Support Center (Skylar One > PowerPacks).
  2. In Skylar One (formerly SL1), go to the PowerPacks page (System > Manage > PowerPacks).
  3. Click the Actions menu and choose Import PowerPack. The Import PowerPack modal appears.
  4. Click Browse and navigate to the PowerPack file from step 1.
  5. Select the PowerPack file and click Import. The PowerPack Installer modal displays a list of the PowerPack contents.
  6. Click Install. The PowerPack is added to the PowerPack Manager page.

Enhancements and Issues Addressed

The following issue was addressed in this release:

  • With this release, ScienceLogic has rebranded the "Restorepoint Automation" PowerPack to the "Skylar Compliance Automation" PowerPack. This change, as well as similar branding changes to the other products offered by ScienceLogic, reflects ScienceLogic's commitment to delivering intelligence that accelerates outcomes through service-centric observability, AI-driven operations, and intelligent automation.   • Resolved an indentation error that caused the "Restorepoint: Generic Action type" snippet to fail when executing the "Start Restorepoint Backup" run book automation policy.
