Cisco: ACI Multi-Site Manager PowerPack Release Notes, version 103

Version 103 of the "Cisco: ACI Multi-Site Manager" PowerPack  includes updates for compatibility with Python 3 and an addressed issue.

  • Minimum Required SL1 Version: 12.1.2

Before You Install

Ensure that you are running version 12.1.2 or later of SL1 before installing the "Cisco: ACI Multi-Site Manager" PowerPack.

Installing the PowerPack

By default, installing a new version of a PowerPack will overwrite all content in that PowerPack that has already been installed on the target system. You can use the Enable Selective PowerPack Field Protection setting in the Behavior Settings page (System > Settings > Behavior) to prevent the new version of the PowerPack from overwriting local changes for some commonly customized fields.

To install version 103 of the "Cisco: ACI Multi-Site Manager" PowerPack, perform the following steps:

To install this PowerPack:

  1. Familiarize yourself with the Known Issues for this release.
  2. See the Before You Install or Upgrade section. If you have not done so already, upgrade your system to the 12.1.2 or later release.
  3. Download the "Cisco: ACI Multi-Site Manager" version 103 PowerPack from the Support Site to a local computer.
  4. Go to the PowerPack Manager page (System > Manage > PowerPacks). Click the Actions menu and choose Import PowerPack. When prompted, import "Cisco: ACI Multi-Site Manager" version 103.
  5. Click the Install button. For details on installing PowerPacks, see the chapter on Installing a PowerPack in the PowerPacks manual.

Features

This release includes the following features:

  • Dynamic Applications that discover and collect data from ACI Multi-Site Manager devices
  • Event Policies and corresponding alerts that are triggered when ACI Multi-Site Manager devices meet certain status criteria
  • Device Classes for each type of ACI Multi-Site Manager device monitored
  • A sample credential for discovering ACI Multi-Site Manager devices

Enhancements and Issues Addressed

The following enhancements and addressed issues are included in this release:

  • All Dynamic Applications are now compatible with Python 3.
  • Added a new execution environment for version 103 of the "Cisco: ACI Multi-Site Manager" PowerPack with support for Python 3.
  • Resolved an issue where the "Cisco: ACI Multi-Site Manager Node Discovery" Dynamic Application did not properly display unavailable nodes.
