Dell EMC: VMAX and PowerMax Unisphere API PowerPack Release Notes, version 200

Version 200 of the Dell EMC: VMAX and PowerMax Unisphere API PowerPack has the ability to discover and monitor VMAX and PowerMax components using the Unisphere REST API.

  • Minimum Required SL1 Version: 8.7.0
  • Minimum Required Version of Unisphere for VMAX: 8.4.0

Before You Install

Ensure that you are running version 8.7.0 or later of SL1 before installing "Dell EMC: VMAX and PowerMax Unisphere API" PowerPack version 200.

Installation Process

To install version 200 of the Dell EMC: VMAX and PowerMax Unisphere API PowerPack, perform the following steps:

CAUTION: You cannot upgrade to Version 200 of the Dell EMC: VMAX and PowerMax Unisphere API PowerPack from the Dell EMC: VMAXPowerPack. You must freshly install this version and run a new discovery session.

To install this PowerPack:

  1. Familiarize yourself with the Known Issues for this release.
  2. See the Before You Install or Upgrade section. If you have not done so already, upgrade your system to the 8.7.0 or later release.
  3. Download the "Dell EMC: VMAX and PowerMax Unisphere API" version 200PowerPack from the Support Site to a local computer.
  4. Go to the PowerPack Manager page (System > Manage > PowerPacks). Click the Actions menu and choose Import PowerPack. When prompted, import "Dell EMC: VMAX and PowerMax Unisphere API" version 200.
  5. Click the Install button. For details on installing PowerPacks, see the chapter on Installing a PowerPack in the PowerPacks manual.
