Version 104 of the "Hitachi Data Systems: VSP" PowerPack includes updates for compatibility with Python 3.

Before You Install or Upgrade
Ensure that you are running version 12.1.2 or later of SL1 before installing the "Hitachi Data Systems: VSP" PowerPack.

Installation or Upgrade Process
To install version 104 of the "Hitachi Data Systems: VSP" PowerPack, perform the following steps:
By default, installing a new version of a PowerPack will overwrite all content in that PowerPack that has already been installed on the target system. You can use the Enable Selective PowerPack Field Protection setting in the Behavior Settings page (System > Settings > Behavior) to prevent the new version of the PowerPack from overwriting local changes for some commonly customized fields.
To install this PowerPack:
- Familiarize yourself with the Known Issues for this release.
- See the Before You Install or Upgrade section. If you have not done so already, upgrade your system to the 12.1.2 or later release.
- Download the "Hitachi Data Systems: VSP" version 104 PowerPack from the Support Site to a local computer.
- Go to the PowerPack Manager page (System > Manage > PowerPacks). Click the menu and choose Import PowerPack. When prompted, import "Hitachi Data Systems: VSP" version 104.

Features
This release includes the following features:
- Dynamic Applications that discover and collect data from Hitachi VSP devices
- Event Policies that are triggered when VSP devices meet certain status criteria
- Device Classes for each type of VSP device monitored
- A sample credential for discovering VSP devices
Enhancements and Issues Addressed
The following enhancements and addressed issues are included in this release:
- All Dynamic Applications and their corresponding snippets are now compatible with Python 3, and the execution environment now runs on Python 3.
