Version 101 of the IBM: SVC PowerPack includes several new PowerPacks, device classes for each type of IMB SVC monitored, and an example Credential that you can use as a template to create a Basic/Snippet credential for connecting to IBM SVC devices.

Before You Install or Upgrade
Ensure that you are running version 8.7.0 or later of SL1 before installing "IBM: SVC" PowerPack version 101.

Installation or Upgrade Process
To install version 101 of the IBM: SVC PowerPack, perform the following steps:
By default, installing a new version of a PowerPack will overwrite all content in that PowerPack that has already been installed on the target system. You can use the Enable Selective PowerPack Field Protection setting in the Behavior Settings page (System > Settings > Behavior) to prevent the new version of the PowerPack from overwriting local changes for some commonly customized fields.
To install this PowerPack:
- Familiarize yourself with the Known Issues for this release.
- See the Before You Install or Upgrade section. If you have not done so already, upgrade your system to the 8.7.0 or later release.
- Download the "IBM: SVC" version 101PowerPack from the Support Site to a local computer.
- Go to the PowerPack Manager page (System > Manage > PowerPacks). Click the menu and choose Import PowerPack. When prompted, import "IBM: SVC" version 101.

Enhancements and Issues Addressed
The following enhancements and addressed issues are included this release of the "IBM: SVC":
- Summarization is enabled for all presentation objects, which will preserve an overview of older data.
- This version addresses an issue in which library version conflicts could cause the ScienceLogic libraries in this PowerPack to become corrupted. In this case, deployment of the PowerPack and subsequent collection would fail.
Known Issues
The following known issues affect version 101 of the IBM: SVC PowerPack:
- A "CacheDataIsEmpty" error may be displayed for the "IBM: SVC/Storwize Array Stats" Dynamic Application if a collection executes before the "IBM: SVC/Storwize Statistics Cache" Dynamic Application collects data.
- A "NameError: name 'stats_cache' is not defined" error may be displayed for the "IBM: SVC/Storwize Array Stats" Dynamic Application if a collection executes before the "IBM: SVC/Storwize Statistics Cache" Dynamic Application collects data.
