Version 0.5.3 of the Nimble Storage (2.3) PowerPack is the pilot version of the Nimble Storage (2.3) PowerPack. This PowerPack manages Nimble Storage Arrays using Nimble Insight SNMP.

Minimum Required SL1 Version: 8.7.0
You cannot upgrade to "Nimble Storage (2.3)" version 0.5.3 from an earlier version. You must freshly install this version and run a new discovery session.
Before You Install or Upgrade
Ensure that you are running version 8.7.0 or later of SL1 before installing "Nimble Storage (2.3)" PowerPack version 0.5.3.

Installation and Upgrade Process
By default, installing a new version of a PowerPack will overwrite all content in that PowerPack that has already been installed on the target system. You can use the Enable Selective PowerPack Field Protection setting in the Behavior Settings page (System > Settings > Behavior) to prevent the new version of the PowerPack from overwriting local changes for some commonly customized fields.
If you are currently using the Dynamic Applications in this PowerPack to monitor devices, collection errors might occur for one or two polling cycles during the installation of a new version. To prevent collection errors during an upgrade, you can optionally disable collection for monitored devices before performing the following steps and re-enable collection after the upgrade.
To install this PowerPack:
- Search for and download the PowerPack from the PowerPacks page (Product Downloads > PowerPacks & SyncPacks) at the ScienceLogic Support Site.
- In SL1, go to the PowerPacks page (System > Manage > PowerPacks).
- Click the Actions menu and choose Import PowerPack. The Import PowerPack modal appears.
- Click PowerPack file from step 1. and navigate to the

Enhancements and Issues Addressed
The following enhancements and addressed issues are included in the PowerPack:
- The "Nimble Storage: Array Config" Dynamic Application was updated to use the VolumeName field for the unique identifier and the cache key.
Known Issues
The following known issues affect version 0.5.3 of the Nimble Storage (2.3) PowerPack:
- The PowerPack uses the Volume Name to uniquely identify volume components. It's important that volume names on the Nimble Storage arrays are uniquely named and never reused to avoid any duplicate device creation on SL1.
