Version 100 of the VMware: NSX PowerPack is the initial version of the VMware: NSX PowerPack. Version 100 includes Dynamic Applications to discover and monitor VMware NSX clusters, controllers, distributed logical routers (DLRs), Edge services gateways (ESGs), Edge load balancers (ELBs), and tenants. It also includes a sample Basic/Snippet credential, event policies, and a Run Book Action and Run Book Policy to auto-align the appropriate device classes to NSX component devices.

Before You Install or Upgrade
Ensure that you are running version 8.1.0 or later of SL1 before installing "VMware: NSX" PowerPack version 100.

Installation and Upgrade Process
If you are currently using the Dynamic Applications in this PowerPack to monitor devices, collection errors might occur for one or two polling cycles during the installation of a new version. To prevent collection errors during an upgrade, you can optionally disable collection for monitored devices before performing the following steps and re-enable collection after the upgrade.
To install this PowerPack:
- Search for and download the PowerPack from the PowerPacks page (Product Downloads > PowerPacks & SyncPacks) at the ScienceLogic Support Site.
- In SL1, go to the PowerPacks page (System > Manage > PowerPacks).
- Click the Actions menu and choose Import PowerPack. The Import PowerPack modal appears.
- Click PowerPack file from step 1. and navigate to the
- Select the PowerPack file and click . The PowerPack Installer modal displays a list of the PowerPack contents.

- Device Classes (8) for each of the NSX devices SL1 monitors
- A Run Book Action (1) that automatically classifies the Device Classes for NSX devices
- A sample credential (1) you can use as a template to create Basic/Snippet credentials to connect to the NSX devices you want to monitor

Known Issues
The following known issues affect version 100 of the VMware: NSX PowerPack:
- High-availability configuration is not currently supported on Edge Service Gateways or Distributed Logical Routers.
- Events from NSX devices are cleared only after the amount of time specified in the event policy's Expiry Delay setting.
