Skylar AI 2.2.1 Release Notes

Version 2.2.1 of Skylar AI provides access to Skylar Advisor and Skylar Analytics, each of which requires a separate license.

This release includes the import of Skylar OneSkylar One business service metrics to the Data Visualization component of Skylar Analytics, updates to the Corpus page in Skylar Advisor, and a number of addressed issues for both Skylar Advisor and Skylar Analytics.

The following table lists the minimum and recommended versions of ScienceLogic software required for Skylar AI and its components:

Skylar Advisor currently requires Skylar Analytics.

Features in Version 2.2.1

The following features are included in this release of Skylar AI:

  • Added Skylar One business service metrics to the Data Visualization component of Skylar Analytics for use in dashboards and charts. These metrics include Health, Availability, and Risk (HAR) statistics, including business service metadata.

  • Added the InstID and OrgID columns to the "BusinessServicesHARState" table to ensure that table and its contents are visible in Skylar Analytics datasets, charts, and dashboards. Previously, the view was only accessible on the SQL Lab page.

  • On the Data Lens page in Skylar Advisor, the new Advisories tab lists all Advisories in a table. The page also now includes an Event Groups tab that lists the events that were used to create an Advisory. Both tabs include an Investigation button that you can click to create an Investigation based on that Advisory.

  • When filtering content on a page in the Skylar Advisor user interface, the filters that are currently in use display at the top of the page.

  • On the Corpus page in Skylar Advisor, you can now upload documents that have file names greater than 64 characters.

  • In the Skylar Advisor user interface, the Super User toolbar that appears at the top of the window for super users includes a toggle button to hide or show the toolbar.

  • This release includes a number of updates to improve processing time and overall performance for Skylar Advisor and Skylar Analytics.

Issues Addressed in Version 2.2.1

The following issues were addressed in this release:

  • Resolved an issue to ensure that workloads are correctly scheduled, preventing deployment failures for on-premises users. (Jira ID: SKY-3795)

  • Addressed an issue in the optimized prediction query to ensure that anomaly detection alerts are generated as expected. (Jira ID: SKY-3807)

  • Addressed an issue where new Skylar Advisor chats incorrectly displayed a start time of 00:00. The user interface now displays the correct timestamp when the first response is generated. (Jira ID: SKY-3819)

  • Implemented guards within Skylar Advisor to prevent it from crashing when opening existing conversations. (Jira ID: SKY-3822)

  • Addressed an issue where Skylar One events were missing from the Event Lens page in Skylar Advisor, preventing the corresponding Advisories from being generated. (Jira ID: SKY-3514)

  • Addressed an issue with the formatting of "collapsed" text in an Advisory in Skylar Advisor. (Jira ID: SKY-3717)

  • Addressed an issue where Skylar Advisor did not properly upload PDFs that contained images on the Corpus page. (Jira ID: SKY-3708)

  • Addressed an issue where the Visit button for Skylar Advisor on the Skylar page in Skylar One did not launch Skylar Advisor. (Jira ID: SKY-3405)

Known Issues

This release has the following known issues:

  • If you had customized tables and views in an older version of the Data Visualization component of Skylar Analytics, that data will not display correctly if you upgrade to Skylar AI version 2.1.0. Any tables and views created in the local database require that the "InstID" and "OrgID" columns contain data for related datasets, charts, and dashboards to be functional. You should not experience this issue if your tables and views in the local database contain values in the "InstID" and "OrgID" columns. (Jira ID: SKY-3824)
  • The "Interface Statistics (Sample)" dashboard was deprecated with Skylar AI version 2.0.0. A Skylar AI administrator will need to remove this dashboard on the Manage Bundles tab of the Dashboards page ( > Analytics > Settings > Dashboard Mgmt). (Jira ID: SKY-2822)
  • A Skylar AI instance can ingest telemetry from multiple external sources, but only one Skylar One system should be configured to send telemetry to that Skylar AI instance to prevent data collisions and potential data corruption. To avoid this situation, do not reuse a Skylar AI authentication token with more than one Skylar One systems that are sending data to that Skylar AI instance. (Jira ID: SKY-3538)
  • Skylar AI uses unique PowerPack naming conventions for creating datasets in the Data Visualization component. If you change the name of a PowerPack, Skylar AI triggers a new dataset, which will cause charts to fail and lose the historical data for that PowerPack. At this time, ScienceLogic recommends that you do not rename any PowerPacks in Skylar One if that Skylar One system is connected to a Skylar environment.
