Features in Version 2.7.0
This section lists the new features that are included in this release of Skylar AI.
Skylar Advisor
-
Skylar Advisor now sends a "Healthy" alert to Skylar One when an Advisory is closed or archived. This feature enables automated event clearing in Skylar One.
-
Added the following options to the Preview Features page of Skylar Advisor:
-
Advisory Suppression. Advisories now includes a button that lets you suppress an Advisory, preventing Skylar Advisor from reporting on that kind of Advisory again.
-
Data Lens Events. Added an tab to the Data Lens page that displays a table of events. This feature provides customers with better visibility into the specific events being received and considered for signal generation.
-
KB Generated Approval Flow. Introduced a new review workflow for Knowledge Base articles generated within the Corpus. This feature lets Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) approve or reject articles, governed by a new "KB_Review" feature flag and configurable review settings.
-
Knowledge Sentry. Implements a security gatekeeper layer for document uploads to the Corpus. Files are now automatically scanned for secrets, SQL injection patterns, and adversarial hidden text. Any suspicious files are quarantined until a subject-matter expert reviews them.

The Preview Features page was updated with a new design. The page now includes clickable views on the left that organizes the preview features by category, such as Agentic, Integrations, Work Items, and Platform. The views list the number of features for each set. The page also includes a clickable view for Graduates, which are features that used to be in Preview, but are now part of the Skylar Advisor user interface. The "graduates" are organized by release.
-
The following features that were on the Preview Features page in earlier versions of Skylar Advisor have "graduated" to officially become part of the user interface:
- Ad-hoc File Upload
- Trend Analysis
- Conversation Audit
- MCP Tools
- Scheduled Reports
-
The Knowledge page was renamed the Knowledge Center page.
-
Improved the visibility of document ingestion on the tab of the Knowledge Center page. Newly uploaded files now appear immediately with an "Ingesting" status, regardless of the number of documents in the Corpus.
-
Documents in the Corpus can be tagged and filtered. Tags can be System (set by the platform), Group (set by administrators), and Free-form (set by users).
-
Enabled bulk deletion of by folder in the Corpus. You can select a folder to automatically include all nested files and subfolders in a single delete action.
-
Updated the Customer Insights page to display additional usage metrics and activity data. The updates include a segmented leaderboard that categorizes users by specific activity types, providing a more detailed view of platform engagement.
-
Implemented the Agentic Tool Catalog along with deployment-wide kill switches (SKYLAR_TOOLS_ENABLED and SKYLAR_AGENTS_ENABLED). These controls allow system operators to immediately disable external tool invocations or agent jobs via Helm/environment configuration in the event of an incident.
Skylar Analytics
-
Upgraded Superset to version 6.1.0 for the Data Visualization user interface, which includes as a revamped Matrixify control panel, a dataset folders editor in Explore, and tiled screenshot generation for large dashboard reports. Custom security manager overrides were also updated to align with new access-control features.
Skylar AI Platform and Skylar Settings
-
Migrated cluster ingress configurations to the Kubernetes Gateway API. This change reduces the number of ingress objects and adds support for HTTPRoutes and ListenerSets.
-
Streamlined the Skylar Advisor licensing process by removing the obsolete Enable Advisories and Legacy Instance ID checkboxes from the License page for Super Users. The system now automatically sets these flags to the correct default values during account provisioning and license updates.
Issues Addressed in Version 2.7.0
This section lists the issues that were addressed in this release.
Skylar Advisor
-
Addressed an issue where filtering by type on the Knowledge page in the Skylar Advisor user interface did not work. (Jira ID: SKY-4958)
-
Added a close (X) button to panels that slide out to provide a clear way for users to close them. (Jira ID: SKY-5043)
-
Updated the time range picker to include a "Today" option when the range ends at the current time, improving usability for recent data lookups. (Jira ID: SKY-5044)
-
Addressed several workflow issues within the approval flow for the Corpus Knowledge Base (KB). These updates include adding missing notifications for saving to the Corpus and approving or rejecting documents, improving placeholder detection in test documents, and ensuring that the "Needs Review" count updates correctly without a manual page refresh. (Jira ID: SKY-5072)
Skylar Analytics: Data Visualization
-
Addressed an issue where the tab of the Dashboards page (
> Analytics > Settings > Dashboard Mgmt) did not scroll vertically. (Jira ID: SKY-5071)
Predictive Alerting
- Utilization-based graph plots now feature a fixed Y-axis range of 0 to 100% to prevent confusing auto-scaling. Additionally, the X-axis has been updated to use a 24-hour time format for consistency with Skylar One. (Jira ID: SKY-503)

Known Issues
This section lists the known issues in Skylar Advisor for this release.
-
Dynamic Application objects with special characters in the name might conflict with other objects in Skylar AI reporting tables. The workaround for this issue is to modify the Dynamic Application objects so that the name does not contain a special character. (Case: 00617628) (Jira ID: SKY-3305)
-
A Skylar AI instance can ingest telemetry from multiple external sources, but only one Skylar One system should be configured to send telemetry to that Skylar AI instance to prevent data collisions and potential data corruption. To avoid this situation, do not reuse a Skylar AI authentication token with more than one Skylar One systems that are sending data to that Skylar AI instance. (Jira ID: SKY-3538)
-
If the session inactivity timeout value for a Super User or a standard user is adjusted on the Authentication page (
> Account Access > Authentication) of Skylar Settings, the affected user does not get logged out after the new timeout value expires (if that user is currently logged in and remains inactive). (Jira IDs: SKY-3734, SKY-3732)
-
If you had customized tables and views in an older version of the Data Visualization component of Skylar Analytics, that data will not display correctly if you upgrade to Skylar AI version 2.1.0. Any tables and views created in the local database require that the "InstID" and "OrgID" columns contain data for related datasets, charts, and dashboards to be functional. You should not experience this issue if your tables and views in the local database contain values in the "InstID" and "OrgID" columns. (Jira ID: SKY-3824)
-
If an Administrator user removes the "Event Trends (Sample)" dashboard on the tab of the Dashboards page, the dashboard still appears in the Data Visualization component of Skylar Analytics. Also, if the "Interface Explorer (Sample)" dashboard is added using the Dashboards page, that dashboard does not display in Data Visualization. (Jira IDs: SKY-3739, SKY-3737)
-
Skylar AI uses unique PowerPack naming conventions for creating datasets in the Data Visualization component. If you change the name of a PowerPack, Skylar AI triggers a new dataset, which will cause charts to fail and lose the historical data for that PowerPack. At this time, ScienceLogic recommends that you do not rename any PowerPacks in Skylar One if that Skylar One system is connected to a Skylar AI environment.

When Anomaly Detection trains on a metric whose declared unit is "%", the upper bound of the AD confidence band is constrained to 100 based on the assumption that percentage-unit metrics fall within 0–100. However, this setting does not account for metrics that could return values above 100%. For more information, see the following Knowledge Base Article (KBA) at the ScienceLogic Support Center: https://support.sciencelogic.com/s/article/21269. (Case: 00643786) (Jira ID: SKY-3763)
