What is the Low-code Tools PowerPack?
The "Low-code Tools" PowerPack provides the Snippet Framework, which is the standard way to write Dynamic Applications using Snippet Arguments to define what information to collect, how to collect it, where to get the data, and how to interpret it. This process is driven by Snippet Arguments, which means that you direct the Snippet Framework using Snippet Arguments in a Dynamic Application.
The "Low-code Tools" PowerPack is a single, consolidated version of the "CLI: Toolkit", "Prometheus: Toolkit", and "REST: Toolkit" PowerPacks. You can perform all of the same functions in the "Low-code Tools" PowerPack as you would in any other PowerPacks toolkits. This PowerPack contains REST, CLI and Prometheus tools for building Dynamic Applications.
ScienceLogic recommends the "Low-code Tools" PowerPack for all new Snippet Framework development. It replaces the individual "CLI: Toolkit", "Prometheus: Toolkit", and "REST: Toolkit" PowerPacks, which are maintained only as legacy references. If you have existing Dynamic Applications built with any of the individual toolkits, you can continue to use them, but new development should use the "Low-code Tools" PowerPack.

Installing the Low-code Tools PowerPack
Before you can use the Snippet Framework, you must import and install the latest version of the "Low-code Tools" PowerPack.
To download and install a PowerPack:
- Search for and download the PowerPack from the PowerPacks page at the ScienceLogic Support Center (Skylar One > PowerPacks, login required).
- Go to the PowerPack Manager page (System > Manage > PowerPacks).
- In the PowerPack Manager page, click the button, then select Import PowerPack.
- The Import PowerPack dialog box appears.
- Click the [Browse] button and navigate to the PowerPack file.
- When the PowerPack Installer modal appears, click the button to install the PowerPack.
If you exit the PowerPack Installer without installing the imported PowerPack, the imported PowerPack will not appear in the PowerPack Manager page. However, the imported PowerPack will appear in the Imported PowerPacks page. This page appears when you click the menu and select Install PowerPack.
