Microsoft: DHCP Server PowerPack Release Notes, version 100

Version 100 of the "Microsoft: DHCP Server" PowerPack is an update from version 1.0. This version adds a device template and includes updates to Dynamic Applications.

  • Minimum Required Skylar One (SL1) Version: 11.1.2

Before You Install or Upgrade

Ensure that you are running version 11.1.2 or later of Skylar One before installing the "Microsoft: DHCP ServerPowerPack.

Installing or Upgrading the PowerPack

By default, installing a new version of a PowerPack will overwrite all content in that PowerPack that has already been installed on the target system. You can use the Enable Selective PowerPack Field Protection setting in the Behavior Settings page (System > Settings > Behavior) to prevent the new version of the PowerPack from overwriting local changes for some commonly customized fields.

To install version 100 of the "Microsoft: DHCP Server" PowerPack, perform the following steps:

To install this PowerPack:

  1. Search for and download the PowerPack from the PowerPacks page at the ScienceLogic Support Center (Skylar One > PowerPacks).

  2. In Skylar One (formerly SL1), go to the PowerPacks page (System > Manage > PowerPacks).

  3. Click the Actions menu and choose Import PowerPack. The Import PowerPack modal appears.

  4. Click Browse and navigate to the PowerPack file from step 1.

  5. Select the PowerPack file and click Import. The PowerPack Installer modal displays a list of the PowerPack contents.

  6. Click Install. The PowerPack is added to the PowerPack Manager page.

  • Dynamic Applications that collect DHCP Server performance data.
  • A device template to use with the Skylar One agent.

Enhancements and Issues Addressed

The following enhancements and addressed issues are included in this release:

  • Updated the "Microsoft: DHCP IPv4 Scope Performance" Dynamic Application to collect all Scope IDs. (Support Case: 00248097)
  • Removed redundant code from the PowerShell request in the following Dynamic Applications:
    • Microsoft: DHCP IPv4 Lease Configuration
    • Microsoft: DHCP IPv4 Performance
    • Microsoft: DHCP IPv4 Scope Performance
    • Microsoft: DHCP IPv6 Lease Configuration
    • Microsoft: DHCP IPv6 Performance
    • Microsoft: DHCP Server Configuration
    • Microsoft: DHCP Service Performance
  • Added the "SL1 Agent for Microsoft: DHCP Server Template" device template to the PowerPack.
  • Updated Dynamic Applications to process results from non-English platforms. (Support Case: 00242620)
