PowerPack Release Notes version 107
Version 107 of the "Tandberg: Infrastructure" PowerPack includes new event policies and updates to existing alert policies.

Ensure that you are running version 8.7.0 or later of SL1 before installing the "Tandberg: Infrastructure" PowerPack.

Installation and Upgrade Process
By default, installing a new version of a PowerPack will overwrite all content in that PowerPack that has already been installed on the target system. You can use the Enable Selective PowerPack Field Protection setting in the Behavior Settings page (System > Settings > Behavior) to prevent the new version of the PowerPack from overwriting local changes for some commonly customized fields.
If you are currently using the Dynamic Applications in this PowerPack to monitor devices, collection errors might occur for one or two polling cycles during the installation of a new version. To prevent collection errors during an upgrade, you can optionally disable collection for monitored devices before performing the following steps and re-enable collection after the upgrade.
To install this PowerPack:
- Search for and download the PowerPack from the PowerPacks page (Product Downloads > PowerPacks & SyncPacks) at the ScienceLogic Support Site.
- In SL1, go to the PowerPacks page (System > Manage > PowerPacks).
- Click the Actions menu and choose Import PowerPack. The Import PowerPack modal appears.
- Click PowerPack file from step 1. and navigate to the
- Select the PowerPack file and click . The PowerPack Installer modal displays a list of the PowerPack contents.
- Click PowerPack is added to the PowerPack Manager page. . The
xxxPowerPack version xxx includes the following features:
- Dynamic Applications that enable the ScienceLogic platform to discover, model, and monitor Cisco (Tandberg) video infrastructure devices
- Event Policies that are triggered when Cisco video infrastructure component devices meet certain status criteria
- Device Classes for each type of Cisco video infrastructure component device monitored
- Sample credentials for discovering Cisco video infrastructure component devices
Enhancements and Issues Addressed
The following enhancements and addressed issues are included in this release:
- The "Tandberg: VCS Disconnect Cause is not normal" alert was added to the "Tandberg: VCS Call Details" Dynamic Application.
- The "VCS Device Warning Failed to load Call Policy File" alert was added to the "Tandberg: VCS Status" Dynamic Application.
- The "Cisco: Expressway NTP Condition Not Ok" alert in the "Cisco: Expressway NTP Configuration" Dynamic Application was updated to have a standard expiry delay time so the alert will clear as expected.
- The "Enabled" and "Running" collection objects were renamed "Enabled Status" and "Running Status" in the "Tandberg: VCS Status" Dynamic Application.
- The "Device Warning Occurred" and "Device Warning Application Failed" alerts in the "Tandberg: VCS Status" Dynamic Application were updated to prevent the alerts from triggering after they have been acknowledged through the VCS user interface.
- The following event policies, associated with alert policies in the "Tandberg: Codian TS Status" Dynamic Application, were updated to have an expiry delay of 15 minutes:
- TAA-TS gatekeeper or SIP registration enabled
- TAA-TS gatekeeper registration enabled
- TAA-TS SIP registration enabled
- The"gatekeeperAddress" collection object was added to the "Tandberg: Codian TS Configuration" Dynamic Application to address an issue in which the user could not see which gatekeeper would successfully register or fail registration.
- Descriptions were added to the following event policies in the "Tandberg: Codin TS Port Utilization" Dynamic Application:
- TAA-TS Audio Port Utilization Exceeded Threshold
- TAA-TS Audio Port Utilization Returned to Normal
- TAA-TS Presentation Port Utilization Exceeded Threshold
- TAA-TS Presentation Port Utilization Returned to Normal
- TAA-TS Video Port Utilization Exceeded Threshold
- TAA-TS Video Port Utilization Returned to Normal
There are no known issues that affect xxx of the "xxx" PowerPack.
