This section describes how to customize aspects of SL1.

How Can You Customize SL1?

SL1 allows you to customize aspects of the user interface. This manual will discuss the ways you can change the appearance and layout of SL1. You can customize SL1 in the following ways:

  • Theme Customization. Allows you to change the template that is applied to SL1's graphical user interface. You can change the colors, logos, and other aspects of the user interface. For details, see Theme Customization.
  • Custom Links. Allows you to create custom links that appear in the SL1 Action Runner and open in a separate browser window. For details, see Custom Links.
  • Select Objects. Allows you to add custom entries to drop-down fields that appear throughout SL1. For details, see Select Objects.
  • Navigation Tabs. Navigation tabs appear at the top of the user interface. You can create a custom tab that can lead to a specific page in SL1 or an external website. For details, see Navigation Tabs.
  • Navigation Bars. Allows you to change the default names and ordering of entries in SL1's navigation bar panes. For details, see Navigation Bars.
  • Form Fields. Allows you to create custom fields (also known as embedded forms) that appear in existing pages and tabbed pages (also known as tabbed forms) that add a new tab and fields to existing pages. For details, see Form Fields.
  • Login Alert Messages. Allows you to create a customizable click-through alert message as a security measure at logon that users must accept to access SL1. For details, see Login Alert Messages.
