Version 106 of the "Cisco: Wireless" PowerPack adds Python 3.11 compatibility, updates all of the PowerPack's event policy descriptions, and addresses two issues from previous releases.

Before You Install
Ensure that you are running version 12.3.1 or later of Skylar One before installing the "Cisco: Wireless" PowerPack.

Installation Process
To install version 106 of the "Cisco: Wireless" PowerPack, perform the following steps:
If you previously set the GUID (Globally Unique Identifier) component identifier in the “Cisco: WLC AP Discovery" and “Cisco: WLC AP Interface Discovery” Dynamic Applications, updating to version 105 or later from previous versions will remove their custom GUID settings. Additionally, if you modified the snippet code to enable the collection of previously ignored collection objects, upgrading will overwrite the snippet changes as well. For more information, see the section on Troubleshooting Duplicate Device Issues in the Monitoring Cisco Wireless manual.
By default, installing a new version of a PowerPack will overwrite all content in that PowerPack that has already been installed on the target system. You can use the Enable Selective PowerPack Field Protection setting in the Behavior Settings page (System > Settings > Behavior) to prevent the new version of the PowerPack from overwriting local changes for some commonly customized fields.
To install this PowerPack:
- Familiarize yourself with the Known Issues for this release.
- See the Before You Install or Upgrade section. If you have not done so already, upgrade your system to the 12.3.1 or later release.
- Download the "Cisco: Wireless" PowerPack version 106 from the Support Center to a local computer.
- Go to the PowerPack Manager page (System > Manage > PowerPacks). Click the menu and choose Import PowerPack. When prompted, import Cisco: Wireless version 106.

- Dynamic Applications that discover and collect data from all Cisco wireless LAN controller (WLC) devices monitored

- Device Dashboards that display information about Cisco WLC component devices
Enhancements and Issues Addressed
The following enhancements and addressed issues are included in this release:

Updated the PowerPack to support Python 3.11 execution environments.

Updated all event policy descriptions in the PowerPack for consistency and to facilitate better usage by Skylar AI. This text change did not impact event policy behavior.
If you have previously modified the PowerPack's event policy descriptions, upgrading to this release might overwrite those modifications.

Addressed an issue where wireless access points could be discovered with an incorrect device class. (Case: 00673490)

Enhanced the "Cisco: WLC AP Interface Operational Status" alerts by adding Admin Status validation to prevent false alerts on manually disabled interfaces. With this change, these alerts are now raised only when an interface is operationally down and administratively enabled. (Case: 00511850)
Known Issues
The following known issues affect version 106 of the "Cisco: Wireless" PowerPack:
- After you upgrade the PowerPack to version 105 or later, the Python2 Execution Environment in Skylar One versions prior to 12.2.1 cannot be removed from the user interface due to a platform issue. That issue does not affect the functionality of the PowerPack.
- The "Cisco: WLC AP Config" Dynamic Application may take too long to collect on smaller controllers. If this happens, increasing the polling interval to 15 minutes or more will allow the device to return all collection data before the polling cycle ends.
- The discovery object for the "Cisco: WLC Interface Performance Average" Dynamic Application uses an Object ID of "1.3.6.1.4.1.14179.2.2.1.1.1". This is valid on AireOS WLCs, but not on IOS WLCs. Since the snippet uses getnext, there is a return on IOS WLC, but it is not an expected or valid one.
- The Cisco WLC: AP and Cisco WLC: Interface device dashboards are not linked to any device classes. Therefore, the device dashboards are not available in the Device Summary.
- In the "Cisco: WLC AP Discovery", "Cisco: WLC AP Interface Discovery", and "Cisco: WLC AP Config" Dynamic Applications, not all enum values are displayed in the "POSSIBLE ENUM VALUES" tooltip. In particular, values that start with '#0' might not display.
