Events and Automation

SL1 Automation PowerPacks work with the Datacenter Automation PowerPacks to collect additional diagnostic information when events occur and to provide instructions on how to troubleshoot issues.

The Automation PowerPacks listed below are separate from the PowerFlow SyncPacks and the related PowerPacks used by PowerFlow. For more information, see SL1 PowerFlow SyncPacks.

Datacenter Automation PowerPacks

PowerPack Manual Description PowerPack File
Datacenter Advanced Enrichment Actions (required) Contains automation actions you can set up to collect additional diagnostic information when events occur and to provide instructions on how to troubleshoot issues. Datacenter Automation Utilities Supplies event policies and run book action and automation policies that you can use with managing other installed Datacenter Automation PowerPacks.

Version 200 and later includes content from the "Network Connectivity Automation" PowerPack, the "Network Connectivity User-Initiated Automations" PowerPack, and the "HTTP Action Type" PowerPack.
Datacenter Automation Utilities
Datacenter Advanced Enrichment Policies PowerPacks Provides an overview of how to use the set of device-specific automation policies (and additional event policies not included in other ScienceLogic PowerPacks) that you can configure to collect additional diagnostic information when events occur. See the individual automation or policies PowerPacks.

AWS Automated Troubleshooting Includes automation policies that enrich SL1 events for Amazon Web Services devices by automatically gathering device information and recommendations. AWS Automated Troubleshooting
Dell EMC Unity Automations Includes automation policies that enrich SL1 events for Dell EMC devices by automatically running diagnostic commands from the Unisphere REST API and adding the output to the SL1 event log or an associated incident. Dell EMC Unity Automations
Linux SSH Automations Enriches SL1 events for Linux devices by automatically running diagnostic commands using a remote SSH connection. Linux SSH Automations
Microsoft Automation PowerPacks Includes automation policies, automation actions, and custom action types for Microsoft Hyper-V Automations and Windows PowerShell Automations. Microsoft Hyper-V Automations

Windows PowerShell Automations
VMware Automations Enriches SL1 events for VMware devices (for example, from the "VMware vSphere Base" PowerPack) by automatically collecting diagnostic logs from the VMware vSphere Web Services API. VMware Automations
